Eefje Tutoring
Eefje-Tutoring is a student run tutoring service that takes pride in providing tutoring for students in a variety of International Schooling Systems, such as the International Baccalaureate (IB), Scottish Advanced Higher, and the US’s Advanced Placement (AP) system.

We also offer undergraduate preparation sessions for students pursuing the Social Sciences, and language acquisition courses in Dutch, English, Spanish, and Greek. Our team strives to provide structured, quality tutoring for all of our incoming students, and we can't wait to show you what we're made of!
Meet our Creator:
Evie Portier
Currently enrolled in the Dual BA Program between SciencesPo Paris and UC Berkeley, majoring in Political Science and International Relations. Obtained an IB Bilingual Diploma, with a recognition for academic distinction (an average of 6/7 and above). Recipient of the ISA Leadership Award.

Why Eefje Tutoring?
Since I started tutoring in 2017, I have developed a method for helping students find their weak spots, and turning them into their strengths. I have tutored IB students from 4's to 6's, and helped 6 students finally cross that nail-biting threshold to that solid seven.

So, whether it's having a bagel and discussing Fukuyama, or cramming for your finals, I'm super excited to have your back to help you develop your own, efficient approaches to learning. I want to share the fascination I have found for the humanities and beyond with anyone who is motivated to improve. Aside from fostering academic growth, I strive to help students see the beautiful, invigorating, and riveting parts of their studies.

Whether you're preparing for your final exams, or just keen to get ahead on your future university courses, Eefje-Tutoring has got your back. We offer digital tutoring sessions on Googe Hangouts, Zoom, Whatsapp, or Facetime (If you're a bit more classic, you can even join us on Skype!). We will work closely with you to find your academic "hot spots" and make sure that you walk away from all of our sessions feeling more confident than when you dialed in.

UNIVERSITY PREPARATION
The other type of tutoring that we offer is preparation based. What we mean by this is that we will help incoming university students, or high-school level students who are interested in learning more about the courses they will take once they reach university. These courses will provide students with reading material, and then assign essay writing exercises, presentations, and discussion sessions that will help the students improve their critical thinking and reasoning skills. We only offer courses in subjects that we have demonstrated academic excellence in, and these courses are intended to be introductions to the topics being covered.
